Frequently Asked Questions

  • What happens if the rain slows down and my lawn isn't growing as fast?

We pride ourselves on flexibility and reasonability. If your lawn growth slows down we may offer you the option to transition your weekly mowing into a bi-weekly schedule. HOWEVER, sometimes it may slow down, but still be growing fast enough that it is problematic for the company to switch to biweekly. As a rule, we will only offer biweekly services at the same price as weekly services when the biweekly length of the lawn is short enough not to slow down our crew. Feel free at any time to reach out to us via email or phone if you want more info about biweekly services!

  • What do you do when it rains?

With the hectic and unpredictable weather in our great state of MI, rain is often the greatest concern of the season. We use lightweight mowers with high-lift blades to reduce the effect of rain on our services. With that being said, if there is much more than a light sprinkle we will delay our route by the appropriate amount of time to prevent damage to any fragile properties. Any properties that are not of concern may be cut in the rain.

  • What if I have something going on that will interrupt the schedule?

If we cannot cut on the scheduled day due to some interruption on your end, we will work with you as best we can to make arrangements for another day to cut. If this is not possible, we will simply charge nothing for the skipped week, and up to double price for the week we come back, as the grass will very likely be tall enough to cause the service to take much longer.

  • Do we need to sign a contract for recurring lawn service?

No! We do not believe in using contracts to keep our customers with us. We believe that a customer should only stay with a service that they want to keep, and should never be bound by a contract unless it is mutually beneficial.

HOWEVER we do have an agreement that we require customers to sign before we can offer our services per our insurance company’s request. This agreement does not bind you to our services, but reduces our liability in the event of certain conflicts.

  • Are you licensed and insured?

Yes! In the state of michigan, a company does not need any special licensing to offer basic lawncare and landscaping services. HOWEVER; if the company wishes to offer pesticide and other chemical spraying then they must get the appropriate license from the state. We do not offer these services, and as such have met all of the appropriate licensing requirements. Our general liability insurance is the industry standard of $2,000,000 aggregate coverage and a $1,000,000 per occurrence limit.

  • How do you take payment?

We offer a number of digital payment options, primarily a debit or credit card. When your service is completed we will immediately send you a link with a digital invoice and a personalized payment window where you can use google pay or a card. If you’d prefer to pay another way, we also have a Venmo account, and accept cash or checks as well.
